Neighbors Helping Neighbors

VOLUNTEERS MAKE COMMUNITY CANCER NETWORK WORK!

If you enjoy being “A Neighbor Helping Neighbors” contact the Community Cancer Network to learn about available volunteer opportunities.

Since its inception Community Cancer Network has relied on local community volunteer support to meet the unmet, basic needs of its clients in cancer treatment and their families.  The needs are as diverse as our clients themselves.  CCN welcomes the opportunity to provide information to community members to support identification of how they might be of assistance in improving the quality of life for Community Cancer Networks clients and their families.

Key Activities:

    • Providing transportation for Clients

      to & from cancer treatment.

    • Food Pantry community donation solicitation and logistics (finding businesses or organizations willing to hold food drives)

    • Making personal donations to our food pantry

    • Fundraising and/or special events

    • Serving on one of our event committees

    • volunteering at one of our fundraising events

You Can Make the Difference

Things to Consider

You can make the difference with your volunteer support:

    • Please complete a CCN Volunteer Application:
      • - Indicate your volunteer preference(s), skills and area of interest(s).
      • - Determine if you are a daily, seasonal, “done in a day”, or group volunteer.
      • - Schedule a follow-up conversation with CCN’s Director.
    • Share CCN volunteer opportunities with your ministry team, social club, peer network, professional partners, social network, and other outlets.
    • Share your positive experiences with others!  Provide CCN with an opportunity to address any area of growth and/or challenge with your support.
    • Consider a tax-deductible contribution as a mechanism for supporting the organization.  Your support can be applied directly to CCN client needs via: Food Pantry, Transportation, Daily Operations Best-Fit, and/or towards so many unexpected client needs that arise.
    • The Board of Directors, Current Volunteers and Staff welcome the opportunity to work beside you as we each “pay kindness forward”.
